Wonderful Writing

We used our imaginations to create wonderful stories. We drew four pictures to tell our story, then we swapped our work with a friend. We didn't tell our friend what our stories were about. Our friend had to study our pictures and write the story. At the end we read it to see if our friend's story matched ours. It was very interesting to see their interpretation of our pictures.

Environmental Art

We studied the work of environmental artist Andy Goldsworthy. He creates art using materials from the natural environment. Inspired by his work we found lots of materials around the school and worked together to create wonderful art pieces. Then we took a photo of our work and left it for the wind to blow it away naturally.

We picked the perfect locations for our artwork.

Our Favourite Things

We brought our favourite things to school to show to and share with our friends. We showed excellent listening skills and were really interested in our friend's favourite things. There were puppets, teddies, photos of special events, hurls and musical instruments. It was a very interesting lesson as we learnt more about our friends and their interests.

Our Tea Party

This month we are working on procedural writing. To introduce this writing genre we made scones. We worked in small groups with Crona throughout the day and made loads of yummy scones. In fact they were so nice that quite a lot of them went missing during lunchtime!
