Friday 30th January

Today we demonstrated our baking skills once again by making delicious flapjacks. Using a very simple recipe we created a yummy snack with the help of Crona.

In addition to this we also measured the classroom and the yard as we are studying length in maths this week. We used metre sticks, measuring tape and a trundle wheel to measure objects and  areas around the school.

Also we were delighted to welcome Anna to our class this afternoon. Anna is going to work with us for a couple of weeks to create super art pieces. First she showed us some of her own wonderful creations, then she explained how she made glue using flour, vinegar and water. Finally she helped us create our own sculptures which we will decorate over the coming weeks.

Marvellous Maths Games

First Class are such a talented bunch. In addition to being super mathematicians we are also really creative (check out our amazing Mona Lisa portraits). We really enjoy maths games so today we created our own. We chose a template and filled it with lots of maths problems to solve. We had lots of fun and can't wait to play our games at home with our families.

Instructions included

This game is for 2-4 players from ages 0-1000.
