Our Tea Party

This month we are working on procedural writing. To introduce this writing genre we made scones. We worked in small groups with Crona throughout the day and made loads of yummy scones. In fact they were so nice that quite a lot of them went missing during lunchtime!

We Are Unique

In our SPHE lessons we are discussing the many ways we are alike and different. In order to show that we are all different we studied our fingerprints. We used paint, ink and magnifying glasses to examine our fingerprints.

Budding Artists

We looked at the work of Vincent Van Gogh. We found the life of Van Gogh very interesting. He enjoyed painting self portraits and completed his first painting at the age of 27. Although he is now considered one of the greatest artists that ever lived Van Gogh only sold one painting during his lifetime, The Red Vineyard. He created about 900 paintings in just ten years. We looked at two of his well known paintings, Sunflowers and Starry Night. We went to the garden and looked at the sunflower then recreated Van Gogh's beautiful painting.
