Minibeast Detectives

We went on a minibeast hunt around the school. We discovered woodlice, centipedes and slugs hiding under the logs in our outdoor classroom. We also found and identified different minibeasts in our minibeast hotel and also in the sensory garden. We used a magnifying glass to examine them carefully. We learnt lots of information about minibeasts in science lessons. We also made minibeasts out of playdough and created minibeast pictures in art. We used the work of Dutch artist Henri Matisse to create collages of our favourite minibeasts. We really enjoyed "drawing with scissors". Our pictures are on display in our classroom.
